As an alternative I previously used Cloudways.

If one is hosting customer websites, as I suspect many are, what options are available for both to manage the nameservers and DNS for those customers?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean sending emails or email hosting? RunCloud has plans to offer a similar server-level SMTP tool as Cloudways but it’s not out yet. For now you need to use an SMTP plugin on each site. Not a huge deal but not as convenient.

For email hosting, I’d rather use an external service anyway so I don’t think that’s a big deal either way. I’m not sure how Cloudways’ Rackspace integration makes life easier, though I never really checked into it.

I’m currently using Cloudways and have been very happy with the service for the most part… although I have been looking at RunCloud as an alternative as well… as mentioned, once you have multiple servers the pricing increases quite a bit for Cloudways… My main concern with RunCloud is the setup of email. I like that Cloudways offer a simple option to connect to a third-party email service. Do you know if RunCloud offers something similar? Searching email in their knowledgebase did not yield any results…
